This policy explains what Zoraiz ul Quran collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read by people, not lawyers.

Information we collect

Account information (optional)

You can use the core app without an account. If you choose to sign in to sync across devices, we store the basic details needed for that account, such as an email or an identifier from the sign-in provider you choose.

Content you create

Bookmarks, notes, reading position, memorization progress, and settings. If you're signed in these sync to your account so you don't lose them; otherwise they stay on your device.

Usage & diagnostics

We may collect limited, aggregated information about app performance (such as crash reports and which features are used) to find and fix problems. Where required this is optional and can be turned off in settings, and it is never used for advertising.

Device permissions we may request

• Location — to calculate the qibla direction and prayer times for your place. It's processed on your device and not stored on our servers or shared.
• Notifications — only to send the reminders you enable, such as prayer times or a reading nudge.
• Storage — to save downloads so you can read and listen offline.

How we use information

• To provide and improve the app's features.
• To sync your content across your devices when you sign in.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
• To respond to you when you contact support.

What we never do

• We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We never show ads or use ad networks.
• We never track you across other apps or sites.
• We never share your reading habits with advertisers.

Data storage & security

We use reputable infrastructure and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the little we hold.

Third-party services

To run the app we may rely on a small number of service providers — such as content delivery for audio downloads, and an optional sign-in provider if you choose to use one. They process data only as needed to perform their service, and are not permitted to use it for advertising.

Children's privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and does not target children with advertising or data collection. We don't knowingly collect more than is necessary from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided information you'd like removed, contact us and we'll help.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your information, and to object to or restrict some processing. You can manage downloads and reminders in settings, and request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us. We honor these requests wherever you are.

Data retention

We keep account and synced content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we delete it from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep limited records to comply with the law.

International users

The app is available globally. Where your information is processed in another country, we take steps to ensure it stays protected in line with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you in-app where appropriate.
